Operations Manager - Industrial Services - Base Salary to 50.00/hour - Chesapeake, VA
- With over 30 years in the ship repair industry, our client is committed to high quality and customer service. They are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, making sure projects are completed on time, are met within budget, and have the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor managers, fabricators, technicians, and support staff.
- Overseeing and managing multiple projects from beginning to end that are within the scope to be completed on time and up to the customer's standards.
- Overseeing budgets for labor, materials, and other operational costs.
- Building relationships with subcontractors, clients, and suppliers in order to maintain project success and continued business.
- Ensuring compliance is met on a federal, state, and local level in regards to workplace safety, ship repair codes, and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years experience in ship repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations management, with at least 3+ years in a management or leadership role.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and large teams.
- Knowledge of ship repair procedures, safety standards, and marine industry regulations.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 40.00 - 50.00/hour range
