- The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing branch operations in a designated geographical area to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. This role involves building a high-performing operations team, setting and achieving performance objectives, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, optimizing operational performance, maintaining company standards, and preparing financial reports. The Operations Manager is expected to develop staff, foster a positive work environment, ensure customer satisfaction, and oversee efficient branch operations. This hands-on role requires a commitment to driving business growth through strategies that enhance safety, productivity, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, manage, and develop the operations team, which includes Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Superintendents, and Foremen.
- Handle hiring and termination decisions as necessary.
- Assign and schedule contracted projects to the Operations Team.
- Monitor budgets for all projects within the region, ensuring they are managed effectively and align with financial targets.
- Implement measures to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while adhering to company Safety Policies and OSHA Guidelines.
- Occasionally manage select key projects directly.
- Forecast monthly revenue and gross profit projections.
- Analyze financial statements, job cost reports, and budgets to identify opportunities for improvement.

- Foster a customer-centric approach to operations to ensure client satisfaction and maintain strong business relationships.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Procore, Timberline, or equivalent construction management software.
- Extensive experience managing construction services, including oversight of both direct employees/field technicians and external suppliers/subcontractors.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and construction accounting systems.
- Proven ability to manage outside labor forces effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead meetings and build strong relationships across all organizational levels while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and job costing/estimating software.
- Ability to align operational plans and goals with the company’s strategic vision.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 150k - 200k/year range
