Non-Ferrous Operations Manager - Metal Recycling - Base Salary to 100k/year - Tampa, FL

• Our client, a global metal recycling and processing organization, is seeking a Non-Ferrous Operations Manager to oversee yard operations focused on the receiving, grading, processing, and shipment of non-ferrous metals.
• This role is responsible for leading daily operations within a high-volume scrap yard environment, including team leadership, inventory control, material inspection, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the non-ferrous department, including material receiving, sorting, grading, processing, and outbound shipments
• Oversee inspection and grading of non-ferrous materials (including copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, and alloys) to ensure accurate pricing and classification
• Maintain accurate inventory tracking of incoming and processed materials using yard management or scale systems
• Lead, train, and supervise yard personnel, including equipment operators and labor staff
• Enforce compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards across all operations
• Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound material movement, including trucks and containers
• Operate and oversee use of processing equipment such as balers, shears, shredders, and material handlers
• Maintain yard organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience managing non-ferrous scrap operations within a recycling or metals environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with employees, drivers, and vendors in a yard/operations environment required
• Hands-on knowledge of non-ferrous metals, including grading, pricing, and material identification (copper, aluminum, brass, etc.)
• Experience supervising yard personnel in a scrap, recycling, or similar industrial environment
• Experience enforcing OSHA and environmental compliance standards in an operations setting
• Experience operating or overseeing operation of scrap processing equipment (balers, shears, shredders, or similar)

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k - 100k/year range, plus bonus potential
