National Account Manager – Commercial Flooring Manufacturer – Base Salary to 70k/year – Charlotte, NC
- Our client is a commercial manufacturer of flooring. They perform most of their work within the commercial and industrial sectors. They manufacture their own products and also use recycled materials for their work. They need a National Account Manager to be based out of Charlotte, NC. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Provide data to purchasing & production teams for materials needed to fulfill upcoming sales needs.
- Assist in new product research, customer requirements, and market trends.
- Analyze and control expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Work directly with architects to help them understand and specify company products.
- Recommend potential products or services to customers and/or architects based on their project needs.
- Process RFQs from Customers quickly and accurately.
- Monitor sales pipeline to provide updates to management.
- Process accurate work orders to manufacturing and monitor customer deadlines.
- Liaise with shipping to ensure on time delivery.
- Communicate all aspects of order details and progress with customers.
- Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
- Provide quality service and support to customers and internal departments.
- Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.
- Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and improve the inside sales function.
- Manage and direct inside sales personnel; lead overall direction, coordination, and evaluation; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in flooring, manufacturing and/or construction related field preferred.
- Familiar with CRM systems and practices, Salesforce Experience a plus.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 50k – 70k/year range

When I started to grow out of that tiny pink ball, I upgraded to an actual basketball and I dribbled it every day to elementary school with that same smile on my face. So obviously, my dream was to be a WNBA player! Unfortunately, I wasn’t THAT good. I played in college and had the opportunity to coach at the collegiate level which ended up being an even bigger dream come true. I learned my true passion was for people and helping them reach their goals, which essentially lead me to this career in recruiting. Now, I don’t dribble my ball to work every day, but I do come to work with a SMILE every day!
