Material Planner – Commercial Car Seat Manufacturer - Base Salary up to 70k/year – Ladson, SC
- Our client, a leading specialist for vehicle seating systems within the automotive, commercial, construction, and military industries. They offer our customers a comprehensive range of services: from the initial product idea, through development and design, to building prototypes and series production at our vertical integrated production sites. They are looking to add a Material Planner to the team!
- The Material Planner is responsible for efficiently managing the procurement and inventory of materials required for production or operational processes. The Material Planner collaborates closely with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and cost-effective supply chain operation.
Responsibilities:
- Materials Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive material planning strategy based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock holding, reduce carrying costs, and minimize stock-outs.
- Supplier Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials, resolve supply issues, and negotiate favorable terms and agreements
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales, production, and other relevant departments to accurately forecast material requirements and align procurement accordingly.
- Order Processing: Create and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure accurate and timely receipt of materials.
Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of experience in material planning for a manufacturing company
Compensation: Base salary in the 60k – 70k/year range (flexible based on experience). They offer a complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, along with 100% company-paid Basic Life Insurance, 401k, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability.
