Plant Manager - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 180k/year - Thorofare, NJ
- Our client, a manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at their Thorofare, NJ facility. This role will oversee plant performance with a strong focus on Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations including production, scheduling, and quality control
- Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (process optimization, waste reduction, cost savings)
- Monitor and improve KPIs including throughput, labor efficiency, scrap, and on-time delivery
- Manage plant-level P&L performance, including cost control and productivity improvements
- Direct production planning and capacity management to meet customer demand
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, and plant layout
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and manufacturing best practices
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance and Sales to align production with business needs
- Assess staffing levels, workforce planning, and capital equipment needs
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’ s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
- 8+ years of operations leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience leading Lean / continuous improvement initiatives with measurable results
- Experience with Lean tools (e.G., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, process standardization, waste reduction)
- Plant-level P&L responsibility or direct financial management experience required
- Experience managing production scheduling, capacity planning, and plant operations
- Experience developing and implementing standardized manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 160k - 180k/year range
