Material Specialist - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 25.00/hour - Gallatin, TN
- AllSearch Recruiting has a client that is a U.S.-based manufacturer that produces premium truck bodies designed for landscaping, hauling, construction, equipment distribution, and agriculture. They are looking for a Material Specialist to join their team in Gallatin, TN. The Material Specialist will keep materials moving so each workstation has the right parts at the right time. Read prints/BOMs, kit components, run basic fabrication equipment, and support shipping/receiving to maintain production flow. Shifts available include: 1st shift (6am - 2: 30 pm) and 2nd shift (2: 15 pm - 10: 45 pm) available.
Responsibilities:
- Move, stage, and deliver materials between stations using pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Receiving to schedule, check in, and route deliveries.
- Load and unload truck shipments safely and accurately.
- Review technical prints, shop drawings, and BOMs to confirm parts are built and kitted correctly.
- Manage inventory in storage racks: restock, rotate, and make high-demand items accessible; minimize scrap/waste.
- Prepare component stations on time so welding and downstream steps meet rate.
- Read and act on the production board to maintain factory flow and standard hours.
- Operate a press brake and CNC plasma table per work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing/factory environment.
- Ability to read shop/technical drawings and BOMs.
- Forklift operation experience; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC equipment and basic fabrication processes.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfortable working in hot/cold environments and outdoors as needed.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 17.00 - 25.00/hour range
- 401k plan with 100% match up to 6% of salary (eligible after 1 year).
