Maintenance Technician – National Supermarket Company – Base Salary to 55k/year – Columbus, OH

  • As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible conduct day-to-day maintenance of stores / buildings / equipment to ensure smooth operation of Supermarkets while maintaining clean and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, possess a keen eye for detail, be a self-starter, manage multiple tasks, demonstrate problem solving skills and flexibility to get the job done.


  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Promptly respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Diagnose and efficiently repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections, and submit timely reports.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance as needed (roof, daylight savings time adjustments for outside lights, winterizing buildings, etc.).
  • Require travel to store locations in company van/truck.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company van/truck.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed.
  • Requires standing and walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.


  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Service Technician, preferably in a Retail (Grocery), Equipment, or Supermarket environment.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of general maintenance procedures, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
  • Some knowledge of Commercial Refrigeration & HVAC is a BIG plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
