Lead Mold Maker – Injection Molding – Base Salary to 95k/year – Raleigh, NC
- Our client, an industry leader in plastic injection molding, is seeking a Lead Mold Maker to join their elite team of tooling craftsmen.
- In this role, the Lead Mold Maker is responsible for leading the team of mold makers to create & repair plastic injection molds, die cast, as well as blow and compression molds.
Responsibilities:
- Reading blueprints, following instructions, and using CAD programs to plan the molds that must be constructed
- Create new tooling for molds according to the design team
- Lead the team in creating prototype products, fixtures, and jigs to check the effectiveness of newly created molds
- Analyze & Troubleshoot mold malfunctions
- Equipment setup, disassembly, and reassembly of existing mold tooling for repairs
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Mold Making or Apprenticeship Preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on Mold Making experience for Injection Mold tooling
- In-depth knowledge of CNC machines, precision measurement devices and other shop equipment
- Must have working knowledge of all shop tools—CNC, Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Sinker & Wire EDM Machines
- Working knowledge of GD&T is a MUST
- Solidworks or CAD software knowledge
Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 95k/year, plus annual bonus. Our client also offers competitive health and life benefits & 401k. Relocation assistance is available.
