Junior Construction Project Engineer - Commercial Construction Casework/Millwork - Base Salary to 55k/year - North Kansas City, MO

• Our client specializes in Commercial Casework/Millwork for projects ranging from Sports Arenas to small tenant finishes. They are currently seeking a Junior Construction Project Engineer where this role offers hands-on experience in project management and coordination, providing a pathway for growth into leadership positions within the construction industry.
• The Junior Construction Project Engineer will be responsible for managing timecards, processing invoices in Sage, tracking change orders in Procore, and assisting with project start-ups, purchase orders, and COIs. The Junior Construction Project Engineer will coordinate with project managers and superintendents on tasks, manpower needs, and subcontractor communication, while organizing documents, updating project details, and supporting closeouts. Proficiency in Procore, Sage, and document management is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and procurement support.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project goals.
• Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications for accuracy.
• Monitor project progress and report to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Interest in career growth toward project management or estimating.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 35k – 55k/year range
