Insurance Underwriter - Regional Carrier – Base Salary to 120k/year – Spokane, WA

• Our client, a respected and established 100+ year regional carrier that operates in CA, AZ, NV, OR and WA has an immediate need for an Insurance Underwriter (internally titled Agribusiness Underwriting Specialist) to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• The Insurance Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating small to middle market risks mainly in the Spokane territory. You will build strong agency relationships to develop new business opportunities, retain a strong renewal book, and make production calls. You will handle agribusiness & complex commercial risks. You will use D&B reports, MVR's, loss runs, and inspection reports to evaluate the overall risk quality & acceptability. Travel for agency visits are maybe once a month.

Qualifications:

• 5+ Years of agribusiness underwriting experience.
• Insurance designations and a college degree are a plus.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 75k - 120k/year range depending on experience plus profit sharing bonus & salary increases.

• Hybrid role. 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
