Inside Sales Supervisor - Stainless Steel and Aluminum Processing – Base Salary to 80k/year – Anaheim, CA
- Our client is an aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, commercial construction, aerospace, automotive, and fabrication industries.
- The Inside Sales Supervisor will oversee the Inside Sales team, attain established goals by securing and processing customer purchase orders and inquiries, and coordinate with outside sales, scheduling, purchasing and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Inside Sales reps while coaching to meet defined sales targets
- Coordinate with Inside Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Production Planning, Receiving, and Shipping to meet deadlines and requirements
- Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
- Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
- Build an open-communication environment for your team and foster a “feedback rich” culture
- Manage specific customer accounts while exhibiting positive and assertive selling effort
- Review and approve customer claims and work with Quality on corrective and preventative actions
- Monitor credits to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner
- Provide prompt, accurate, profitable, and competitive quotations to the customer, while effectively communicating price and delivery information
- Ensure the timely, efficient, and accurate computer order entry of all customer orders received by phone, fax, mail, or email
- Timely notification of expected delays to affected customers and field sales
- Monitor, discuss and reduce internal order entry errors
- Monitor market conditions in order to make effective adjustments to the price book
- Plan and lead regular Inside Sales meetings to discuss topical and pertinent issues and provide direction and leadership to inside sales efforts
Qualifications:
- Prior experience supervising Inside Sales
- Knowledge of warehousing metals processing techniques and capabilities, as well as technical and quality considerations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Basic Mathematic skills
- In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
- Ability to understand and use safety rules and procedures
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 70k - 80k/year range, plus bonus potential
