Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician – Refrigeration Company – Hourly Rate to 45.00/hour– Philadelphia, PA
- Our client is a refrigeration company specializing in the sales, service, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration facilities utilizing Ammonia (R717), Freon (R22) and various other refrigerants. The wide range of services our client offers focuses on plant service and ongoing maintenance to engine rooms and plant equipment for cold storage warehouses, milk & cheese processors, meat packaging plants, food preparation plants, dairy product producers, poultry services, and frozen food plants.
- The Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician will be a key player for our ever-growing team. They will be responsible for field service throughout Southern, PA, New Jersey, and Delaware. They will be working to service, maintain, rebuild, and install industrial refrigeration equipment, ammonia refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide installation, maintenance, and service to our customers
- This position involves troubleshooting and repairing all components of industrial refrigeration systems and equipment
- Responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment such as screw and reciprocal compressors, evaporators, condensers, valves, motors, pumps, and associated control/alarm systems, ammonia refrigeration units, chillers, cooling towers etc.
- Will be required to travel locally to service clients throughout southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey
- This position required NO overnight travel whatsoever – all clients are within 1 hour of Philadelphia
Qualifications
- Universal EPA certification
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience on commercial or industrial refrigeration
- Candidates with 5+ years of commercial HVAC will be considered for this role
- Experience working with electricity, refrigeration, and controls is highly desired
- Ammonia Refrigeration license preferred but not required
- High Pressure Boiler License preferred but not required
- Willing/able to travel to customers within the service region/area
- Knowledge of OSHA and industry safety requirements
- Shows initiative, able to work independently, without supervision
- Excellent communication and customer services skills
- Professional demeanor and positive, caring attitude
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Compensation
- Base salary up to 45.00/hour dependent on refrigeration service experience
- We provide a tooled company van, company phone, and company credit card

- There are NO out of town/overnight stays – all jobs are local to customers within 1 hour of Philadelphia
- $1,500 Quarterly Bonus Potential

Every day I want to impact someone in a positive light and the consistent habit of excellence is what gets me out of bed every morning.
When did you start selling? – My dad told me once when I was a teenager that “you could sell ice to an Eskimo.” So ever since then I think I’ve had a knack for it. I absolutely love meeting and talking to people so it’s always been a gift I’ve had.
What is your favorite show or shows to binge watch? The Office, Lost, Stranger Things, Blue Bloods (just to name a few). I’m also a HUGE movie person, I absolutely love a good long movie that can draw in your attention and make you think.
