Inside Sales Representative - Industrial Distribution - Base Salary to 26.00/hour - Minneapolis, MN

• Our client is an industrial supply distributor in search of an Inside Sales Representative for their office in Minneapolis, MN. They supply all types of industrial hoses (hydraulic, metal, PVC, and more) to several industries including construction, agriculture, food & beverage, oil & gas, and more.
  
• They are looking for an Inside Sales Representative for their office in Minneapolis, MN. This is a customer service focused role. Candidate will handle inbound calls and walk-in customers, build relationships, and remain friendly while multitasking. Position offers opportunity for growth and advancement into other roles with the company and/or the parent company.

Responsibilities:

• Training: The position starts with 1-2 months of training in the plant to acquire requisite product knowledge and skills.
  
• Transition to the Inside Sales/Customer Service role to learn customers, products, pricing, and the company's customer service strategy.
  
• Provide exceptional (100% attention) customer service daily.
  
• Must become proficient in applying industrial and hydraulic hose knowledge to customer applications.
  
• Work in coordination with the Outside Sales team to service specific customers and assist with special projects.
  
• Must be willing to learn on a continual basis

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of Inside Sales / Customer Service.
  
• Education: Minimum H.S. Diploma. 1 or 2 years of community college, technical school, 4-year university, or military service is considered ideal.
  
• Must be self-reliant and self-motivating. Works with a "visible sense of urgency" and can handle a fast-paced, activity-based environment.
  
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  
• Comfortable with computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  
• Ideal background would be someone from a retail or counter sales background who is ready to move into an inside sales position.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 23.00 - 26.00/hour range
  
• Full benefit package.
  
• 401k with a 4% match on a 5% contribution.
