Industrial Food Manufacturing Refrigeration Technician - Industrial Refrigeration - Base Salary to 54.00/hour - New Haven, CT
  • Our client is a family-owned industrial refrigeration company with over 40 years of experience. They specialize in serving the food processing and cold storage industries.
  • Our client is looking for an Industrial Food Manufacturing Refrigeration Technician for their team in New Haven. Their company culture is family-oriented and offers a relaxed work environment with casual dress that works primarily Monday - Friday with a 6am - 3pm schedule with plenty of overtime.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform field labor tasks including inspections, repair services, equipment installations, and emergency service response.
  • Handle service calls and work on preventive maintenance agreements and installations primarily within the local area.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites in CT, NY, and NJ, with some overnight stays required for out-of-state installations.
  • Have an understanding of AC/DC electrical and HVAC/R equipment components.
  • Have knowledge of refrigerant piping installation procedures.
  • Be familiar with installation and/or equipment maintenance service specialty tools (e.G., bender, charging equipment, and power tools over 2hp).
  • Have experience in the installation and operation of HVAC/R equipment.
  • Be knowledgeable about Pneumatic and/or Direct Digital Control operation and/or maintenance tasking procedures.
  • Be capable of using hand signals to direct crane or lift operators during load lifting and placement.

Qualifications:
  • S2 OR D2 License
  • High School Diploma required; technical degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial/commercial refrigeration.
  • Proficiency in repairing, installing, and troubleshooting related equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints, equipment specifications, and mechanical/electrical codes.
  • EPA certification required.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to travel and occasional overnight stays.

Compensation:
  • Base salary to 54.00/hour
