Industrial Electrician - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 48.95/hour - Draperville, OR

  • Our client is a global manufacturer of forest products, and they provide a wide range of sustainable forest product solutions.   • They are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join their team.  The Industrial Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring that electrical systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently.  

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical components, including wiring, controls, and circuit boards, to prevent equipment failures.
  • Install and configure new electrical equipment and systems as needed for upgrades or replacements.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions in machinery, including motor drives, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other automation systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and facility protocols.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests and minimize downtime to keep production running smoothly.
  • Conduct electrical safety training and promote best practices among other staff members to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in electrical technology and maintenance practices to improve efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Oregon Electrician’s License
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical troubleshooting and AC&DC motor control
  • Ability to use standard test and troubleshooting equipment
  • Industrial mechanical millwright experience preferred
  • PLC experience is preferred

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 35.33/hour to 48.95/hour range
