Industrial Construction Superintendent – Construction GC – Base Salary to 60.00/hour - Lancaster, PA

  • Our client is a family-operated business with over 75 years of combined experience. With a proficiency in the public works market, they provide specialized contracting services across the heavy civil construction industry specifically with rehabilitation of concrete and new installations/upgrades to water and wastewater treatment facilities. They strive to uphold a safe workplace for their employees utilizing clear strategies to reduce risk and create flexible solutions to exceed expectations.
  • The Industrial Construction Superintendent will play a vital role in overseeing all phases of our industrial construction projects. The expertise of the Industrial Construction Superintendent in coordinating workers, materials, and equipment will ensure that specifications are met, work progresses smoothly, and projects are completed on time and within budget. With projects currently in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania, travel will be an integral part of our success. Projects range in size from $100,000 and a couple months to $15 Million over 18 months.
  • Our client understands the importance of life-work balance. They offer a 4-10 hour a day work week, allowing you to enjoy longer weekends and more time for family and personal activities. The right candidate will do all of this by communicating and building relationships with project managers, owners, engineers, architects, and any other stakeholder to each project. These candidates will be working specifically in the industrial sector on Wastewater Treatment Plants and other Water Treatment facilities throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing onsite company crews that will follow your leadership.
  • Develop a comprehensive and cost-effective plan and schedule for project completion, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Coordinate the work of subcontractors across different project phases, ensuring seamless collaboration and adherence to architectural and engineering drawings and compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise onsite employees, reviewing reports, addressing safety concerns, and resolving any reported deficiencies.
  • Track and control construction schedule and costs, ensuring project completion within allocated time and budget.
  • Maintain open communication with company administration, owners, and architects, providing progress updates and recommending modifications when necessary.

 Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a four-year degree program in construction management, construction science, or related fields. Candidates with additional training in business administration and accounting will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity in and industrial construction setting.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, effectively coordinating multiple activities and groups to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and project coordination.
  • Ability to travel to jobsite locations and stay out of town when required.
  • Experience with industrial water and wastewater treatment plants is required

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 45.00 - 60.00/hour range
