Our client, is an industrial safety equipment company that needs to expand their IT side with a few new hires. The organization is looking to bring on an IT Support Specialist that will work with both on-site and distributed teams to take care of their technical needs. The position will respond to diagnose, isolate and implement solutions on the IT side. This is an on-site position, no remote opportunities with this role. We are looking at a base of $70-75k for the individual plus benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to queries either in person, through chat, email, or over the phone.
- Write training manuals and train computer users.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
- Ask questions and seek solutions to troubleshoot and determine the nature of problems.
- Recommend enhancements or efficiencies for supported systems.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Resolve technical problems with network connectivity.
- Provide basic VOIP phone system support and troubleshooting
- College degree or equivalent work experience required.
- At least 4+ years of prior support experience in a fast-paced setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently, but also with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and how details fit into the big picture.
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong Windows support and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of MS SQL would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Epicor Prophet 21 or similar ERP system would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and listening.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
Compensation: includes a base salary in the 70k - 75k/year range, plus benefits.
