Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing - Base Salary to 120k/year – Nanticoke, PA

  • Our client is a well established family-owned fast growing Manufacturer that has been in business for over 50 years. They are seeking individuals who are self-motivated and eager to grow with the company and take on additional responsibilities as needed.   • Our client is actively recruiting a Human Resources Manager to oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the human resources department. They are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented HR professional with 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy needs.
  • Communicate issues and policies with rank-and-file union employees; interpret and enforce employee handbook language
  • Cooperate with leadership on company policy decisions and seek input in key areas
  • Work to enforce company policies as well as update and improve policies in other areas
  • Manage all employee vacation and seek to communicate skill deficiencies and ensure coverage for work tasks when key employees are absent
  • Recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Track time and attendance and process weekly payroll
  • Manage and facilitate Workman's Compensation cases, protecting the company. Participate in Safety Committee, working with leadership on safety initiatives; OSHA 300 reporting
  • Work with manufacturing facility leadership to maintain and update employee skills matrices and create training and development plans for employees
  • Track, update, and monitor all corrective action for employees
  • Track, update, and monitor periodic employee reviews with supervisors
  • Coordinate company benefits packages including health, vision, and dental plans; life insurance; vacation packages
  • Ensure company complies with latest regulatory requirements and document compliance

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish-speaking is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and orally
  • Willingness to be on the plant floor, interacting daily with leadership and rank-and-file team members.
  • Ability to have direct conversations at high levels
  • Ability to accept criticism and feedback from superiors
  • 10+ years' experience in Human Resources required
  • 5+ years' experience in a management role preferred
  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, with particular focus on Excel and Word
  • HR certificates and training are preferred

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 90k – 120k/year range, dependent on experience
