High-End Chiller Technician - HVAC - Base Salary to 165k/year - Philadelphia, PA
Job Description
- Our client is a specialty building owner throughout the Mid-Atlantic that is looking to bring on a high level Chiller Technician that wants to take on the challenge of their own buildings. The ideal candidate for this position will have worked on at least 200 ton units with an understanding of how to service them, maintain them and possibly swap one out in worst case scenario. The organization will provide a company truck and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and commission chiller systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on chiller systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in chiller systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant components, and implement effective repair solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and inventory of parts used.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Chiller Service Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of chiller operation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems, as well as refrigerants and their handling.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Possess Universal EPA Refrigerant Certifications.
- Familiar with proper handling procedures of low-pressure refrigerants.
- Base salary in the 125k - 165k/year range
