HVAC Technician – Custom HVAC – Base Salary to 150k/year – New York, NY

  • Our client, a small early-stage HVAC manufacturing venture servicing the NYC market, creates innovative and custom HVAC solutions for some of the most prestigious skyscrapers in New York City. This company specializes in induction units and fan coil units offering cutting edge technology, longstanding industry connections, and energy efficient design.
  • They are currently seeking an HVAC Technician to service their NYC clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and controls
  • Test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining work performed, answering questions, and offering maintenance tips

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (HVAC certification or trade school training is preferred)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician in residential and commercial settings
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC systems and performing repairs
  • Knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 80k – 150k/year range depending on candidate experience
