HVAC Service Sales Representative - Leading Commercial HVAC Equipment Supplier - Base Salary to 100k/year - Columbia, MD

  • Our client, a strong privately-owned Commercial HVAC Equipment Supplier, has an immediate need for an HVAC Service Sales Representative, to handle a territory out of the MD area.  Our client has been in business for over 30 years and has a stellar reputation in the industry.  They are a continually growing company, and they are looking to add a representative in the Baltimore metro to help them take this division to new heights.
  • In this position, the HVAC Service Sales Representative will be responsible for new business generation and hunting for new customers, as well as handling renewals on service agreements and growing the current customer base.  The HVAC Service Sales Representative will be working with existing clients to quote and make recommendations for repairs and replacements on equipment.  They will sell to building owners, maintenance managers, property managers, and facility managers.

Qualifications:  The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of proven outside sales success, with experience in HVAC.  The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role.  They should possess strong CRM experience and exceptional customer service skills.

Compensation:  Our client is offering a base salary in the 70k – 100k/year range, and an uncapped bonus/commission structure that should put you well into that six figures as you build out the business.  The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more.  Additionally, there are other perks tied to company culture that make it a plus to work for this privately-owned business!

What did you want to be when you grew up:

I wanted to be a teacher. I come from a family of teachers and coaches. I started coaching cheerleading in the ninth grade and while I veered from my path of becoming a math teacher, I am most passionate when I am able to mentor and coach others. At a young age, someone saw skills in me that I did not see in myself, and I love to be able to give that same gift back to others and help them grow their sales careers.

Fun Fact:

When I lived in Louisville, I decided to run the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini Marathon (13.1), having never been more than a 5K runner. I have always felt that running is a great metaphor for life.  Training for that race showed me not only what amazing things my body is capable of, but what mental toughness can, and will, carry you through. My brother, and huge support to me, ran the race with me that day with bands playing, strangers cheering me on, and a chance to run a lap right on the track at the beautiful, historic Churchill Downs. It was an amazing experience (that I have not repeated)!
