HVAC Account Manager - 160 Year Old Manufacturer - Base Salary to 145k/year - Dallas, TX
- Our client, a stable, growing manufacturer, has an immediate need for an HVAC Account Manager, to handle a territory covering several states in the south (to include TX, KS, MO, over to FL, and up to NC). Our client has been in business for over 160 years and has a stellar reputation in the industry. The Southern team operates as a tight-knit group, always willing to help each other out, and are looking for someone who operates from a “customer first” mentality in order to fit into this culture.
Responsibilities:
- In this position, the HVAC Account Manager will be responsible for selling to manufacturers’ rep firms, working with specifying engineers, and building relationships with mechanical contractors. The Commercial HVAC Account Manager will be responsible to be a technical advisor to their core customers, helping them make accurate equipment selections and get their products specified in projects.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in selling commercial HVAC equipment (boiler experience a bonus!). The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role. They should possess strong CRM experience and exceptional customer service skills.
Compensation:
- Our client is offering a solid compensation package for this position, with a base salary in the 120k - 145k/year range, and up to 30% bonus opportunity. What did you want to be when you grew up:
I wanted to be a teacher. I come from a family of teachers and coaches. I started coaching cheerleading in the ninth grade and while I veered from my path of becoming a math teacher, I am most passionate when I am able to mentor and coach others. At a young age, someone saw skills in me that I did not see in myself, and I love to be able to give that same gift back to others and help them grow their sales careers.
Fun Fact:
When I lived in Louisville, I decided to run the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini Marathon (13.1), having never been more than a 5K runner. I have always felt that running is a great metaphor for life. Training for that race showed me not only what amazing things my body is capable of, but what mental toughness can, and will, carry you through. My brother, and huge support to me, ran the race with me that day with bands playing, strangers cheering me on, and a chance to run a lap right on the track at the beautiful, historic Churchill Downs. It was an amazing experience (that I have not repeated)!
