General Manager - Residential HVAC Mechanical Service - Base Salary to 175k/year - South Windsor, CT
- Our client, a stable, fast-growing residential mechanical servicing company handling service, installation, and preventative maintenance, has an immediate need for a General Manager to oversee operations of the CT branch. They are a continually growing company, and they are looking for a sales oriented, visionary leader to help build out the CT area, taking them to new heights. The philosophy of this business is to operate as a tight-knit group, always willing to help each other out, and they are looking for someone who operates from a “customer and employee first” mentality in order to lead as a way of life for the business.
- In this position, the General Manager should have a very entrepreneurial mindset and will be largely responsible for growing the business, via the sales team, as well as implementing processes and metrics. The General Manager will grow a residential sales team, drive leads, motivate customer service reps, as well as handling the administrative functions of the branch. The General Manager will also be responsible for creating the vision for the office and building team unity.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5+ years’ experience in residential/in-home services with strong leadership and sales experience. Experience in HVAC and/or the trades is preferred. The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role. They should possess strong organizational and customer service skills.
Compensation: Our client is offering a base salary up to 175k/year, a bonus structure, as well as equity options. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more. What did you want to be when you grew up:
I wanted to be a teacher. I come from a family of teachers and coaches. I started coaching cheerleading in the ninth grade and while I veered from my path of becoming a math teacher, I am most passionate when I am able to mentor and coach others. At a young age, someone saw skills in me that I did not see in myself, and I love to be able to give that same gift back to others and help them grow their sales careers.
Fun Fact:
When I lived in Louisville, I decided to run the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini Marathon (13.1), having never been more than a 5K runner. I have always felt that running is a great metaphor for life. Training for that race showed me not only what amazing things my body is capable of, but what mental toughness can, and will, carry you through. My brother, and huge support to me, ran the race with me that day with bands playing, strangers cheering me on, and a chance to run a lap right on the track at the beautiful, historic Churchill Downs. It was an amazing experience (that I have not repeated)!
