- Our client, a well-established global Building Products Manufacturer is currently seeking a General Manager over Manufacturing Plant Operations for their Acuna, Mexico facility; easily accessible from Del Rio, TX. Our client is an inspiring leader in architectural building products with 70+ years of experience supporting a wide range of markets and building solutions.
- Our client is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/ English) General Manager who understands manufacturing well (safety, quality, cost/financial P&L, customer/ delivery, people/team) competent in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools. This role has 7 direct reports and up to 800 indirect employees over 2 shifts & locations & will be supporting culture, process and flow.
Responsibilities:
- Set policies and procedures for productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
- Collect operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets
- Support manufacturing practices for quality and continuous improvement
- Ensure plant safety and security via training, audits, inspections per OSHA
- Oversee multi-functional plant teams including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
- 10+ years’ experience in leading manufacturing plant operations
- Experience with ERP Systems, Quality Management, Production Planning, Plant Lifecycle Management, P&L Financial Performance Management
- Understanding of production equipment, and continuously evaluate for improvement to safety, quality, and productivity
- Strong organizational awareness; ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal departments, customers, representatives, contractors, and architects
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 165k – 185k/year (USD) range
- Bonus 15%
- Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, 401(k) Program with company match
