Fire Alarm Technician – Fire Protection – Base Salary to 35.00/hour – Fort Myers, FL
- Our client, a well-established Fire Protection Services company, is currently seeking a Fire Alarm Technician for their Fort Myers, FL location.
- This is a family-owned company that offers exceptional customer service and cares for their employees.
Responsibilities:
- Use company vehicle to travel to local job sites (50-mile radius)
- Lead assigned job, training and directing any helpers
- Perform fire alarm systems repairs and installations
- Install, test, and repair fire alarm systems
- Consult with client on system requirements; provide system recommendations
- Use blueprints or building plans to determine proper systems to install
- Run wiring and circuits, install hardware
- Inspect and test systems, batteries, and electrical wiring
- Replace malfunctioning hardware when necessary
- Ensure systems comply with electrical and fire codes
- Explain and demonstrate system function and operation to end users
- Ensure all work and safety rules are followed
- Keep company vehicle clean and serviced
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
- Focus on quality / accuracy and timeliness
- Develop a strong relationship with the customer
- Core hours are 7am-4pm; Mon-Fri with some variability for job site needs
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of fire alarm experience including system installation, repairs, troubleshooting, testing
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Valid driver’s license & good driving record
- Strong customer service focus and care for the “life safety” industry
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 22.00 – 35.00/hour range depending on candidate experience
