Field Supply Inventory Specialist - Industrial Supplier - Base Salary to 50k/year – Jacksonville, FL
- Our client is an industrial supply distributor with over 50 locations across the country. They are a very stable company and have been in business for over 50 years. They sell all types of industrial products like safety supplies, adhesives, electrical, and many more for major manufacturers like 3M, General Electric, Loctite, etc. They are seeking a Field Supply Representative to cover the Jacksonville, FL Territory. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels with customers to ensure that optimal inventory is present and ready for use within their facilities. This is a key position for the organization, and requires the representative remain knowledgeable of the product catalog and products to maximize the customer experience. Teamwork and communication are critical attributes for this position because the representative is expected to collaborate with the inside operations team and the assigned account manager to service the customer most effectively. You will play a vital role and will work to increase sales and meet target KPIs through operational excellence and steadfast commitment to servicing the customers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory in accordance with company policies to ensure proper labeling, storage, handling, and packaging (including temperature and time sensitive materials)
- Proactively monitor inventory on-site and update min/max accordingly. Ensure adequate material is stocked and proactively search for alternatives if an item will be impacted to mitigate supply disruption issues
- Maintain a professional appearance when visiting with customers
- Communicate with all customer personnel in a timely, professional and courteous manner
- Perform cycle and annual inventory counts in accordance with count schedule. Research discrepancies in cycle and inventory counts
- Analyze and investigate inventory variances. Implement corrective actions as needed to reduce/eliminate variances.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data to determine trends, variances, and tell the story of the data to support the sales.
- Maintain relationships with key customer personnel
- Establish a backup training schedule with the branch manager to ensure proper coverage
- Act as a liaison between the customer, outside sales representative, and management during process.
- Oversee the territories' VMI orders from picking, packing, loading and delivering product.
- Review advanced reports and make recommendations to management
- Responsible for the loading the truck daily while following all truck safety procedures
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma (Required)
- Valid state issued driver license (Required)
- Minimum of 1+ year warehouse experience (Preferred)
- Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and also within a team
- Ability to communicate with the customer, customer service reps and account reps in a professional manner
- Must have good computer skills with knowledge of MS Office software
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 48k - 50k/year range plus a monthly guaranteed bonus program
