Field Supervisor - Landscaping - Base Salary to 77k/year - Los Angeles, CA

• Our client is an established commercial landscape and irrigation contractor serving general contractors, public agencies, developers, institutions, and commercial property teams throughout Southern California. Their projects include commercial landscape construction, landscape installation, planting, soil preparation, irrigation installation, and related site work.
• The Field Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of commercial landscape construction and irrigation projects, supervising field crews and coordinating labor, materials, tools, and equipment. This position oversees daily field production to ensure work is completed according to landscape plans and specifications, project schedules, labor budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Field Supervisor will typically supervise crews of 3– 5 employees, with larger combined crews based on project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide daily direction to commercial landscape installation and irrigation crews.
• Coordinate labor, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment for active landscape construction projects.
• Monitor daily field production, labor utilization, project schedules, and overall project progress.
• Ensure landscape construction and irrigation work is completed according to plans, specifications, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Oversee landscape installation, planting, soil preparation, irrigation installation, and related field activities.
• Identify and address field issues, project delays, material requirements, equipment needs, and scheduling conflicts.
• Conduct job-site inspections and enforce company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Communicate project progress, scheduling requirements, and field needs with Project Managers, general contractors, clients, and office personnel.
• Coordinate crew assignments and monitor field productivity, workmanship, and safety compliance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial landscape industry experience, including landscape construction and installation experience.
• Previous experience supervising landscape crews, field crews, or landscape construction field operations.
• Experience with commercial landscape installation and irrigation systems.
• Experience managing daily field production against project schedules and labor budgets.
• Experience reading and working from landscape plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of landscape construction equipment, tools, and field operations.
• Experience coordinating labor, materials, tools, and equipment for commercial landscape construction projects.
• Experience working with job-site safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k - 77k/year range
