Field Service Technician - Construction - Base Salary to 31.00/hour - Benton Harbor, MI
- Our client is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their team. The Field Service Technician will play a crucial part in overseeing the development of highways, bridges, utilities, and various infrastructure projects across multiple sectors, ensuring they meet specifications and are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced calculation techniques, including computer-aided methods, to determine dimensions, square footage, and material quantities for projects.
- Produce detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Analyze site factors and create comprehensive maps, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate findings.
- Review project plans and specifications, determining structure dimensions and material requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive reports documenting project activities and data.
- Collaborate closely with project supervisors to plan project details, including acceptance testing and evaluation of field conditions.
- Conduct thorough inspections of project sites, assessing contractor work for compliance with design specifications and codes.
- Plan and execute field surveys to identify new sites and analyze project site details.
- Perform materials testing and analysis using specialized tools and equipment, applying engineering knowledge.
- Engage in manual labor activities as needed, including bending, digging, and carrying heavy items.
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to plan, schedule, and complete projects within established budgets and timelines.
- Customer service orientation with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Associate degree or higher education, preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience, preferred
- Relevant certifications such as Nuclear Density, ACI Concrete, MDOT Density Tech, preferred
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 28.00 – 31.00/hour range
