Field Service Manager – Building Products Manufacturer/Installer - Base Salary to 110k/year + Bonus – Austin, TX

  • Our client is the ultimate single-point-of-contact solution for affordable, premium finish-out building materials because they are a multi-category manufacturer, but much more than just a product supplier. Their proprietary system simplifies every step in that process from inception to the completion of your build.
  • Currently they are seeking a Field Service Manager (internally titled Field Operations Manager) to join their team. This position is responsible for building the company Trade Partner/Service Program, coordinating all aspects of installation projects between the customers, vendors, and their company for multiple projects at once in the assigned territory, and partnering within the organization to provide White Glove service and reliability. Every team member must be a player/coach/leader/pioneer, creating exceptional service. Additional duties may be assigned.


  • Program Development
  • Build Systems and Processes for: field teams (recruiting, hiring and onboarding)
  • Recruit, hire and manage field project managers.
  • Coordinate installation project with customer, communicate deadlines and track success.
  • Approve and submit subcontractor invoices/draws for payment.
  • Anticipate and resolve customer issues.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with customers, sales, and administration.
  • Maintain strong visibility and leadership on job site. Hands on when needed.


  • 5+ years’ experience in multifamily construction
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business or other applicable fields, preferred.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Hands-on leadership style, able to direct, lead and assist when necessary.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management and planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS software
  • Flexibility in approach to different types of business problems and a willingness to change course to avoid project setbacks.
  • Able to create and establish structure and processes across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, ability to analyze financial data and margins.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, creative, honest, positive.
  • High integrity and professionalism.  Represent the or positively and instill professionalism in crews.
  • Strong customer orientation.  Provide favorable customer experience from initial contact through installation.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.  Work effectively between departments.
  • Follow all safety and environmental regulations.  


  • Base salary in the 80k – 110k/year range depending on experience.
  • Annual bonus.
