Field Service Engineer - Plastics - Base Salary to 120k/year - Atlanta, GA
- Our client is an industry leader in the plastics industry. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer with expertise in stretch blow molding. This is a great work environment, and the plant is in excellent shape. This person will like to travel and enjoy working with customers! Travel will be upwards of 80% traveling to customer sites. Candidates for this position can reside anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to optimize high speed blow molding processes on Krones, Sidel, KHS, SIPA, and Tech Long machines.
- Develop Heat-set/Hot- fill, CSD, and water processes.
- Lab scheduling, timeline development, machine change-over, process standardization, documentation, and analytical testing.
- Technical process support in product meetings
- Coordinate with 3rd party contractors and firms get information needed to complete the process design.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and across other engineering disciplines to detail industrial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years PET blow molding experience.
- Understanding of stretch blow molding process.
- Experienced meeting specifications in a fast paced production environment under the pressure of the plant to get proven results in a minimal time frame and make adjustments during production.
- A good understanding of preforms design and optimization of preform to container, different resins, resin IV’s and the effects of regrind, rPET, and PCR
- Knowledge of blow molders and understanding the process of the oven and blowing wheel and evaluate lamp set up, ventilation, cooling, and the blow block set up etc.
- Experience working with customers.
- Willing to travel 80%.
Compensation:
- Base salary to 120k/year
