- Our client has offered critical IT systems and technologies for National Defense and Homeland Security for 25 years.
- They are currently seeking a Facilities Manager with (or able to obtain) security clearance, and has multi-site and renovations experience to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, construction management (liaison with GC's), space planning, and security for data facilities (network/cabling environments) in both Richardson, TX, and occasionally Colorado (few times per year).
Responsibilities:
- Manage facilities staff responsible for maintenance, security, operations, cleaning and reception; monitor their KPIs & performance reviews; forecast the facilities budgets; Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Richardson, TX facilities, ensuring that the environment is safe, clean, and functional (especially critical HVAC); Manage vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, supplies, and construction projects. Conduct regular inspections for compliance and possible improvements
- Coordinate construction and renovation projects working closely with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications (including long-term space planning and growth strategies)
- Provide strategic space planning to optimize the use of available spaces, taking into consideration current and future business needs; ability to reconfigure or expand spaces to improve workflow, efficiency, and comfort for employees, as well as evolving security requirements.
- Visit the Colorado Location 2-3x per year for 1-2 days each for facilities related issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager with strong knowledge of facility & construction management, space planning principles, including maintenance, security, and budgets
- Ability to be liaison between general contractors and the company
- Experience with IT/data facilities; network/ cabling environments preferred
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, with, or able to obtain security clearance
- Prior leadership over a facilities team including performance management and development
- Proficient in MS Office Suite & facility / construction management /space planning software
- Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations (construction and space utilization)
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field a plus!
- Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), Construction Manager Certification (CMC), or certification in Space Planning a plus!
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 80k - 120k/year range
