Facilities Manager - Commercial/Multi-Family Properties - Base Salary to 110k/year - New York, NY
  • Our client is an established real estate development organization that is looking to bring on a Facilities Manager for their properties located in the Manhattan area.  The group has 15 total properties with a mix of commercial and class A multifamily properties as well.
  • The Facilities Manager is an on-site role that works closely with the tenants both in improvements to the properties and regular maintenance/upkeep of the buildings.  
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance performed by vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be apparent in existing systems and processes.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the smooth functioning of all systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in facility management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and facility management software (e.g., CMMS).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP)) are preferred.
Compensation:
  • Base salary in the 95k - 115k/year range
