Employee Benefits Risk Advisor – Insurance – Base Salary to 100k/year – Owings Mills, MD 

• Our client, an 80+ year independent insurance agency in the Owings Mills, MD area, has an immediate need for a skilled Sales Professional to join their Employee Benefits team.
• This agency offers extensive training programs and opportunities as well as a collaborative sales environment, highly supportive team atmosphere, and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• As an Employee Benefits Risk Advisor, you will be tasked with attaining and retaining new business.
• You will be responsible for generating leads via cold calling, referrals, marketing, networking, etc.
• You will be responsible for negotiating sales and maintaining quality relationships with clients.
• You will be responsible for travelling to visit new and current clients as necessary to close sales and maintain relationships.
• You will be required to participate in training as needed to attain/maintain insurance licenses and updated knowledge of best practices.

Qualifications:

• Direct sales experience required, preferably in a similar role, or with b2b sales.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work well independently under pressure.
• Existing contacts within the health insurance and ancillary benefits sector preferred.
• MD P&C and L&H insurance licenses required or willing to attain after start of employment.
• Experience with Applied EPIC preferred.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k – 100k/year range.
• Benefits Include medical, dental, vision, 401k + 2% match, profit sharing, unlimited PTO, company outings, etc.
