Electrical Service Engineer – Industrial – Base Salary to 90k/year – Milwaukee, WI
- Our client is a family-focused company that has been operating for over 75 years in Milwaukee. They specialize in induction heating and are currently seeking an Electrical Service Engineer. This role is responsible for engaging in the maintenance and continuous enhancement of cutting-edge power electronics ranging from 5kW to 2500kW, operating within the frequency range of 30Hz to 3MHz. This also includes involvement in machine automation.
- The Electrical Service Engineer will expand their skills by tackling the captivating multidisciplinary obstacles encountered in Power Conversion Systems for Induction Heating, which find applications in a wide array of industry sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Control System Architecture/Concept Design
- I/O design and Electrical Wiring Design
- Electrical Cabinet and Systems Layout
- PLC Programming
- Debug of Systems
- Project Management
- Printed Circuit Board Design
- Transformer Design
- Load computation
- Modeling and Simulation of Electrical Power Systems
- C# Programming
- Characterization of Systems Specifications
- In house Product Test
- In-house Repair of customer goods
- Field Service Repair- Industrial Electrical and mechanical inclined equipment, Water Systems, Material handling equipment and Preventative maintenance.
Qualifications:
- BSEE or Associate Degree with equivalent experience required
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
- Must Know how to use Oscilloscope, Meters, High Voltage Tester.
- Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Travel up to 50% is anticipated with this position
- Electromechanical Knowledge and Induction or heat-treating experience a big plus
- Familiarity with working on high voltage and high-power circuits a plus
- Knowledge of and experience with PLC's and troubleshooting a plus
- Knowledge of and experience troubleshooting Motor controls and Drives a plus
- Knowledge of and experience with PC troubleshooting a plus
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 90k/year
