EHS Manager - Plastics Manufacturing - Base Salary to 100k/year - Commerce, CA

• Our client, a growing plastics manufacturing organization, is seeking an EHS Manager to lead safety, compliance, and environmental programs at their production facility in Commerce, CA. This is a hands-on role supporting a manufacturing environment with regulated processes, industrial hygiene considerations, and cleanroom operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and audit Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs in a manufacturing environment
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and environmental standards
• Create, update, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to safety and compliance
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Administer and monitor industrial hygiene programs (air sampling, exposure monitoring, PPE requirements)
• Maintain and manage required documentation including OSHA logs, safety records, and audit reports
• Conduct new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee training programs
• Support and promote safe work practices within a Class 8 cleanroom environment
• Partner with operations and leadership to improve safety performance and reduce risk
• Provide technical EHS guidance across departments within the facility

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’ s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with OSHA or Cal/OSHA regulations and compliance programs
• Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
• Experience developing and maintaining safety programs, SOPs, and training initiatives
• Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring and PPE programs

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 85k - 100k/year range
