Drafter - Millwork - Base Salary to 35.00/hour - Kansas City, MO
- Our client, a fast growing Millwork and Casework manufacturer, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Drafter (internally titled Millwork Drafting Engineer) to join their team in North Kansas City, MO. The Drafter will be responsible for creating precise 2D cabinet diagrams for CNC production. The ideal candidate will have experience in millwork drafting, a strong understanding of production processes, and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D cabinet diagrams and shop drawings for CNC production and fabrication.
- Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to ensure designs meet specifications and timelines.
- Translate design concepts into production-ready technical drawings, including elevations, sections, and detailed part drawings.
- Interpret architectural plans, sketches, and specifications to produce accurate millwork designs.
- Update and revise drawings based on client feedback or production requirements.
- Ensure all drawings are optimized for CNC machining, including tool paths and material usage.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in millwork drafting or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Experience with CNC programming and familiarity with CNC machines is highly desirable.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 30.00 - 35.00/hour range
- PTO, Holiday pay
- 401k match
