District Sales Representative - Plastics/Packaging Industry - Base Salary to 85k/year - Ithaca, NY
- Founded over 100 years ago, our client in the Custom Plastics and Packaging space is a one-stop shop thermoforming supplier that specializes in developing custom thermoformed parts from design through production for SMB and Fortune 500 customers.
- They are currently looking to grow the team and add an experienced District Sales Representative in the NY territory. This is an opportunity to get in with a very financially stable company with a great reputation where there is opportunity for growth!
Responsibilities:
- Research the potential market and prospect opportunities to create a new business pipeline
- Promote and sell plastic packaging solutions to the Automotive, Medical/Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products, and Industrial markets
- Forecast sales activities for the NY territory utilizing the company CRM platform
- Build relationships with existing customers for upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Utilize outbound calling as well as conduct face-to-face visits out in the field 30-50% of the time to win new business
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve any customer issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or 3+ years of outside industrial B2B sales at the corporate level (experience in the plastics/packaging space is preferred)
- Must have new business development experience handling the full sales cycle
- Ability to work mainly remote but travel within a 6-hour radius of Ithaca, NY to visit customers as needed
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 70k - 85k/year range plus commission
- Health insurance, 401k package, profit-sharing retirement plans, generous paid-time-off, and opportunities for advancement
- All travel related costs 100% company paid
