Director of Sales - Insurance - Base Salary to 175/year - Houston, TX
  • Our client, an insurance startup in Houston, is looking for their next Director of Sales. The Director of Sales will be responsible for oversight and management of the Sales Team for the carrier and our client. Our client partners with multiple insurance carriers in both admitted and surplus lines insurance markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Build supervise and lead a sales team
  • Plan and implement sales plan KPIs
  • Collaborate with marketing team on initiatives and measuring sales KPIs
  • Identify and research new market opportunities - B2B and direct to customer
  • Ensures a high level of team performance to increase effectiveness efficiency and consistency of sales
  • Participate in the development of monthly quarterly and annual program reports
  • Develop and execute new growth directives
  • Recruit train mentor and manage sales managers and agents providing coaching on sales techniques and product knowledge
  • Attend routine meetings with executive team and directors and report out updated information and data as required

Qualifications:
  • 10+ year of experience in the property & casualty insurance industry preferred
  • 5+ years managing a sales team
  • Must have Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines licenses
  • 25-50% travel required

Compensation:
  • Base salary up to 175k/year (flexible dependent on experience) plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k, Roth, generous PTO, paid holidays, etc.
