Director of Facilities – Commercial Real Estate - Base Salary to 150k/year – Detroit, MI

  • Our client, is a commercial real estate organization that works throughout Michigan.  The organization is looking for a leader that can maximize the portfolio value and work with a team of 5 managers in managing the portfolio’s assets.  This person will fill the role of a Director of Facilities/Property Management.  We are looking for a very capable construction/facilities professional for the role.  Compensation for the position is a base in the 130k - 150k/year range plus a bonus, 100% healthcare for the employee and other perks.  The total compensation should be 170k - 200k.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating monitoring and managing annual capital ex and repairs budget and maintenance
  • Strong background in organizational systems of facilities management
  • Annual billing and management of claims.
  • Supervising the maintenance of all properties with the coordinating team members on the assets annual plan for capital improvements and repairs.
  • Management of all property management staff.
  • Be aware of all material property management issues.
  • Supports and assists property manager in negotiating major service contracts and solving property operating issues.
  • Annual CAM Tax and Insurance Reconciliations. Accounting- Annual Budgeting of Capital Expenditures and Repairs, Quarterly Leasing Activity Reports, Annual forecasts, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or experience equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience working in property management specifically in commercial building facilities
  • Strong capital expenditure and improvement construction background
  • Knowledge of Yardi Property Management Software is a plus

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 130k – 150k/year range
  • Full medical benefits, PTO and 401k

Nothing, I bide my time until Chipotle.
