Director of Marketing – Building Products Manufacturer - Base Salary to 105k/year + Bonus – Allegan, MI

  • They are currently seeking a Director of Marketing to join the team. This role will be responsible for developing, guiding and managing marketing strategies that support the company’s overall goals, shaping and enhancing their brand messaging across all our markets and channels, creating robust digital platforms, and providing leadership to the marketing team. In addition, candidates must have the drive and ability to invest in thoughtful, creative, and innovative marketing initiatives that build brand equity and deliver on the overall strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that support the business strategy's successful execution.
  • Provide active leadership to build, develop, and lead a marketing team capable of executing the overall strategy and plan to improve all aspects of marketing across all brands.
  • Build a robust digital marketing strategy that supports the overall goals of the company.
  • Actively manage, oversee and evaluate market research and industry trends to execute effective marketing campaigns that meet market dynamics and competitive conditions while communicating industry trends and potential business threats and opportunities to the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with key strategic partners and sales teams to promote successful product launches and highly focused selling efforts.
  • Develop an annual marketing plan with the appropriate strategies, budgets, resources, and metrics necessary to achieve company’s overall strategic initiatives and financial goals.
  • Manage a creative team and agencies responsible for asset and content development, experiential marketing, media planning, and data analytics.
  • Collaborate with marketing team and sales teams to promote successful product launches and highly focused selling efforts.
  • Define measurements of marketing effectiveness and communicate these regularly with the sales and leadership teams.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of business-to-business marketing experience required.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Marketing or Communications) required.
  • Previous experience as a Marketing Executive, Marketing Manager or Director of Marketing
  • Proven ability to drive the company brand.
  • Articulate distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Building material distribution and/or home improvement retail channel preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years in previous positions
  • Communication and embodiment of company’s Core Values
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exhibits professional conduct with the utmost integrity and business ethics.
  • Self-directed with excellent time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM, content management software (CMS), and analysis software
  • Successful track record in creating marketing campaigns.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 85k – 105k/year range depending on experience.
  • Annual discretionary bonus.
