Director of Facilities - Hospital System - Base Salary to 175k/year - Chicago, IL

  • Our client is a healthcare organization that is looking for a Director of Facilities at their premier 600 bed hospital and cancer center in Peoria, IL.  The position is based in Peoria, IL and would require for the individual to live in the locality. 
  • The Director of Facilities Planning and Operations will be the top facilities professional at the hospital.  The position reports to a Vice President within the healthcare system.  We are searching for someone that is well versed and provides a professional persona in the areas of engineering, construction, maintenance practices, standards and procedures.   This is a great opportunity to take a step up into a larger hospital system for the right individual. 

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with key stakeholders in the region to assure effective management of facilities of all Division resources within the region.
  • Oversees the day-to-day requirements to include determining schedules for preventive maintenance and annual or other major maintenance of utility systems, roofs, building envelopes, parking areas, walks, drives, etc. They also include staffing schedules to assure availability of repair and other corrective maintenance services in a timely manner.
  • Develops facilities management program for each property based on standard work methods. Ensures all OSF properties are maintained to the same standard of performance.
  • Develops annual operating budgets to meet the needs of each facility and manage costs to be at or below budget on an annual basis. Monitor preventative and corrective maintenance activities on all properties to maintain compliance with authorities having jurisdiction and to meet occupant needs.
  • Participates in Environment of Care management team and committee structured and managed in accordance with Joint Commission standards, OSHA regulations and other applicable requirements.
  • Assists in the management of real estate transactions within the region in conjunction with executive staff and the Ministry Services real estate and property management staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required with a Masters Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of facilities management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of facilities, construction, infrastructure and energy programs
  • Knowledge of LEAN, six sigma and other performance improvement programs
  • Project management skills

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 130k – 175k/year range
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • PTO, Paid Holidays, Sick Time.
