Design Engineer – Plastics – Base Salary to 90k/year – Kennett Square, PA
- Our client, a well-established Electronics and Plastics company is currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer (internally titled Extrusion Design Engineer) to work onsite at their Kennett Square, PA location.
- This is a privately owned, small to mid-sized company (60 employees) that offers a family-oriented, down-to-earth, personalized, collaborative, and appreciative employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design plastic extrusion profiles (mostly soft PVC, TPE)
- Oversee the process parameters and quality requirements for product specs.
- Work within a 4-person engineering team & collaborate with extruder operators on troubleshooting the design, tooling, die, and process operations
- Work 25% on the production floor, 75% desk/office based
- M-F, 8am-5pm, overtime is rare
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics Material Engineering, OR equivalent experience
- 3+ years prior Extrusion Engineering experience including material and process flows (plastics & die experience preferred)
- 3D CAD modeling (Solidworks or other)
- Motivated, helpful, collaborative, team & detail oriented
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 80k – 90k/year range depending on candidate experience.
