Cyber/Tech E&O Underwriter - Managing General Underwriter - Base Salary to 220k/year - Manhattan, NY
- Our client, a managing general underwriter, located in Manhattan is looking for an experienced Cyber/Tech E&O Underwriter to join their team. They are specialized in digital assets, AI, and robotics companies, along with other complex risks. They write on behalf of three insurers and have additional capacity from several large reinsurers.
- The Cyber/Tech Underwriter be responsible for profitably and sustainably underwriting cyber risk for emerging technology companies. The Cyber/Tech E&) Underwriter will be a subject matter expert on the cyber market, and constantly collaborate with the team to understand new technological developments in the industries where you focus and their implications, especially digital assets/crypto. They write a small number of risks for a higher premium.
- Risk selection, analysis and service of accounts based on their underwriting strategy
- Present risks to the internal underwriting committee
- Cultivate existing broker relationships and build new ones to constantly grow the quality and quantity
- Work closely with the COO and claims administrator on the claim process for accounts with your portfolio
- Work closely with their insurance company partners for endorsements and form changes
- 2+ years of professional liability underwriting and at least 1 year of cyber insurance underwriting experience required.
- Prior experience with digital assets preferred.
- Prior experience in E&S/specialty lines underwriting preferred.
- Relevant professional designations such as CIC or CPCU preferred.
- Base salary in the 175k - 220k/year range, plus equity and an annual cash bonus.
