Construction Superintendent - Industrial Construction - Base Salary to 100k/year - Emmaus, PA

  • Our client is an Industrial Construction firm that operates in Lehigh and Berks counties. They have been in business over 50 years, and pride themselves on exceptional client service and a knack for specialized projects, with a heavy focus on concrete and structural steelwork.
  • In this role, the Construction Superintendent will primarily work in the field for key clients in the Lehigh and Berks county areas. They are responsible for overall site leadership, supervision, and technical management for construction operations. They need someone with industrial, vertical construction experience, but who has the tact and skills to maintain relationships with important clients. Assistant Superintendents or Foreman who are looking to take the next step are also encouraged to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a 3 week look-ahead schedule for subcontractors & resources
  • Schedule subcontractors and ensure materials delivery
  • Plan, schedule, and communicate the work to be performed with each crew prior to their shift
  • Attend all meetings (i.e. preconstruction, progress, pre-installation, etc)
  • Conduct, document, and report all weekly safety meetings
  • Coordinate with the owner’s representative all daily activities and progress, report any change in conditions
  • Ensure the quality of all work per the plans and specifications
  • Monitor job cost and productivity with the General Superintendent and Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in a leadership role in Industrial Construction
  • Hands on experience with lay-out, excavation, demolition, structural steel erection, and concrete forming and pouring
  • Experience in subcontractor coordination, strong organizational skills
  • Experience working in a union environment is a plus
  • Ability to work on site 40-50 hours a week

 Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 80k - 100k/year range, dependent on experience
