- Our client is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team, focusing on projects within the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. This role is ideal for a Construction Superintendent with 8+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects valued between $10 million and $40 million. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints, and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with these documents.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, architects, and engineers to resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
- Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring they meet the project’s quality and safety standards.
- Develop and implement safety plans and ensure all team members adhere to company safety policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain daily logs, reports, and documentation related to project progress and site conditions.
- Order and inspect materials to ensure they meet project specifications and are delivered on time.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Manage the site workforce, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and cared for.
- Evaluate and implement efficient construction methods to optimize project delivery.
- Handle any on-site issues or emergencies promptly and effectively to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
- Experience managing commercial projects valued at $10 million to $40 million+.
- High School Diploma or higher (Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred).
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents, including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Clear understanding of the communication and documentation processes between owners, architects, and contractors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, and other construction-related software.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 110k – 130k/year range
