Construction Superintendent - Construction GC - Base Salary to 130k/year - Goldens Bridge, NY
- Our client is a family-owned Construction GC that has been operating in New York since 1969. With an average tenure of 25 years, their construction professionals work as a team with designers and subcontractors to produce excellent value while building complex commercial projects. With safety and quality at the forefront of every project, they believe that if they do a good job, they will continue to thrive.
- The Construction Superintendent will work to manage all on-site activities for a construction project from mobilization to completion. The top priorities of the Construction Superintendent will be Safety and Quality to ensure projects are carried out within budget and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe project
- Conduct constructability reviews
- Coordinate with all on-site construction trades
- Pre-plan the construction activities according to the project schedule
- Prepare a look-ahead schedule according to the master schedule
- Manage manpower and materials
- Monitor work progress and work quality
- Conduct daily site inspections, picture taking, and all daily/weekly logging
- Monitor RFI’s, Change Orders, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration is preferred
- 3+ years of relevant construction superintendent experience preferably for a general contractor
- The ability to read and interpret construction documents (blueprints, shop drawings, etc.)
- Analytical problem-solving ability with a very strong attention to detail with numbers
- Strong experience with construction software i.e. On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline,
- Microsoft Office, CAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks, ProjectSight, etc.
- Work requires a willingness to have a flexible schedule with job-site visits and local travel to projects
- Ability to work 100% on-site/in-office
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 100k – 130k/year range
- Bonus potential

FUN FACT: My fun fact is actually about my brother, we are twins and he is one minute older than me. So at all times there is two of me running around somewhere!
What motivates you? – My favorite quote is from Will Durant summarizing the works of Aristotle that reads, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” My goal in life is to always be better today, than I was yesterday. Not only for myself but for the people I choose to surround myself with. Every day I want to impact someone in a positive light and the consistent habit of excellence is what gets me out of bed every morning.
When did you start selling? – My dad told me once when I was a teenager that “you could sell ice to an Eskimo.” So ever since then I think I’ve had a knack for it. I absolutely love meeting and talking to people so it’s always been a gift I’ve had.
What is your favorite show or shows to binge watch? The Office, Lost, Stranger Things, Blue Bloods (just to name a few). I’m also a HUGE movie person, I absolutely love a good long movie that can draw in your attention and make you think.
