Construction Project Superintendent – General Construction Company – Base Salary to 125k/year – Morrisville, PA
- Founded in 1933, our client has been providing customers with quality and value for over eight decades! They are a General Construction Company that specializes in turnkey building projects from small to large. They pride themselves on consistent repeat and referral projects due to their quality and ability to build relationships with owners and top-tier subcontractors. They have a wide range of specialties that include car dealerships, emergency service facilities, labs and research, manufacturing and chemical facilities, retail, warehouses, and much more.
- The Construction Project Superintendent is a crucial player on this local team in Morrisville. Our client believes that a successful project begins with treating everyone with fairness and respect including customers, vendors, subcontractors, code officials and of course our own staff. They are looking for an experienced Superintendent that will fully own each project they are given. Superintendent must be able to manage the scheduling, customer relations, safety and quality control aspects of multiple projects with full accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Building and monitoring schedules through look-ahead scheduling tactics
- Scheduling and attending inspections
- Monitoring and managing subcontractors for safety and quality
- Taking photos and logging information for daily reporting
- Managing the tracking of materials and equipment for scheduling purposes
- Overseeing punch list completion
- Scheduling via Microsoft Project
- Superintendents should also reflect strong writing skills in preparing contract documents, maintaining schedules, writing subcontracts/change orders, and issuing meeting minutes
- Maintain as-built records and plans, daily reports and enforcement of safety rules on-site
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Construction Project Superintendent for a General Construction Company is required
- Must have experience with ground up construction projects and site work supervision – experience with only interior fit-outs or tenant improvements will not be a fit
- Must have experience with commercial Design-Build projects
- Industrial experience is highly preferred along with commercial experience with specialty knowledge in the following:
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience for specialty industrial projects
- Experience managing 2-3 projects at a time valued from 8 million dollars to 20 million dollars each
- Experience with Microsoft Project for Schedule Building
- Proven experience building relationships with subcontractors and owners for repeat business
- Must be able to work in the field Monday – Friday
- The ability to visit projects as needed during the week – 90% of projects are within 1 hour of the office
- Valid Driver’s License
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 100k – 125k/year range based entirely off years of experience and project portfolio
- Bonus program (percentage of project completion)

What motivates you? – My favorite quote is from Will Durant summarizing the works of Aristotle that reads, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” My goal in life is to always be better today, than I was yesterday. Not only for myself but for the people I choose to surround myself with. Every day I want to impact someone in a positive light and the consistent habit of excellence is what gets me out of bed every morning.
When did you start selling? – My dad told me once when I was a teenager that “you could sell ice to an Eskimo.” So ever since then I think I’ve had a knack for it. I absolutely love meeting and talking to people so it’s always been a gift I’ve had.
What is your favorite show or shows to binge watch? The Office, Lost, Stranger Things, Blue Bloods (just to name a few). I’m also a HUGE movie person, I absolutely love a good long movie that can draw in your attention and make you think.
