Construction Project Manager - Petroleum and Fuel Systems Construction - Base Salary to 160k/year - Longview, WA
- Our client is a national design-build general contractor specializing in petroleum, fuel system, and commercial construction projects across the United States. They provide turnkey construction services for fueling facilities, convenience retail, commercial developments, and specialty construction projects. They are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee projects involving fuel systems, gas stations, underground and aboveground storage tanks, and related commercial construction work.
- This role is responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, overseeing schedules and budgets, and supporting estimating and project development activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial and petroleum construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Oversee projects involving gas stations, fueling facilities, underground storage tanks (USTs), aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), and related site development work
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Prepare and review project estimates including labor, materials, subcontractor, and equipment costs
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders throughout project execution
- Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontract agreements, and change orders
- Track project progress and maintain communication regarding financial, scheduling, and operational updates
- Support design-build project development and preconstruction activities
- Coordinate pricing packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, and design teams
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client discussions
- Ensure projects are completed in compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and company requirements
- Ability to travel to project sites nationwide, including up to 50% travel as required for the role
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction, petroleum construction, fuel system construction, heavy civil construction, or related construction environments
- Experience managing projects involving gas stations, fueling facilities, USTs, ASTs, fuel systems, or related petroleum infrastructure projects
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, project schedules, and construction cost estimates
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders throughout construction project execution
- Supervisory or project leadership experience required
- Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Strong knowledge of construction project management processes, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to reliably travel to project sites nationwide, including up to 50% travel as required for the role
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 145k – 160k/year range
