Construction Project Manager – Roofing Construction Company – Base Salary to 160k/year – McHenry IL
- With over 45 years in the industry, our client has become of the largest sheet metal and roofing contractors in North America. They are part of a family owned and operated investment group of 5 companies operating in the construction, real estate, and consumer products industries.
- The Construction Project Manager is an essential team player in the designing and building of highly complicated and specialized roofs. The ideal candidate can think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling.
- Crew scheduling and coordination with superintendents.
- Attend and participate in the weekly production meeting.
- Communication and project management with general contractors, vendors, in-house project managers, and superintendents.
- Coordination with other departments including service department/service technicians, estimating, submittals, and accounting.
- Attend job site meetings as needed.
- Communicate solutions and resolve problems that may arise on a job.
- Oversee and assist in the process of obtaining material quotes, sub-contractor quotes, and material orders.
- Processing change orders.
- Monitor job budgets for material and labor through weekly meetings for the job cost and crew.
- Work with accounting to properly bill jobs and problem collections.
Qualifications:
- 2-year degree.
- 2+ years roofing/construction project management experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Programs.
- Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 70k – 160k/year range
- Vehicle allowance/company vehicle if necessary. Primarily in office.
- Bonus potential.
